Ciao Twenty-Sixteen!

I don't know about any of you, but I am pretty well over this year. I'm excited about the holidays and Ian's birthday, but 2016 really kind of sucked. We lost Prince, Bowie, Professor Snape, and more. So many tragedies happened this year all over the world. And don't even get me started on the USA in general. I'm ready to move on to a new year and the hope and promise of good things to come.

So I have 2 new template sets for the comping year. Volume 1 is a simple set with just the weeks and Volume 2 is a dated set in both a Sunday to Saturday and Monday to Sunday format.

Volume 1 includes:
53 layered PSD templates
53 PNG 6x4 pocket cards with grey text on white background
53 PNG overlays
27 Printable PDFs of 2 cards per page

Volume 2 includes:

52 layered PSD templates that you can add photos or papers to, or use the birch or white background provided.
52 PNG 6x4 pocket cards with dark grey text on white background.
52 PNG overlays in true black so you can use them even in phone apps and change the color!
26 Printable PDFs with two 6x4 cards per page (grey text on white background)
1 6x4 birch background

The templates will be on sale through Sunday December 11th, 2016

Cecily Moore│Polaris Inspiration

Hi guys!
I'm so glad you've stopped by to check out my most recent project using Little Lamm & Co products! Here, I've gone with a traditional 12" x 12" scrapbook layout using the recent fabulous release 'Polaris'. I've grabbed the 'pattern paper' and 'elements' from the scrapbook kit and went to work on this festive holiday layout featuring my very imaginative nephew (the jingle pirate giant knight himself!), a jumbo title and plenty of little elements from the kit like tags, words, washi tape, and buttons! I simply aligned all my elements on a grid down the right hand side of my page and then balanced all of that with a jumbo title in the dark grey patterned paper. Grab a few of your favorite elements, align them in a simple grid and you'll have one good looking scrapbook page in no time, too!

Thanks for stopping by! XO, Cecily | The Paper Curator

Carrie │ Triatholon

Recently my sister competed in a half Iron man triathlon, and she documented her progress over sixteen weeks with daily posts on Instagram and Facebook. I wanted top physically capture what she accomplished, so I downloaded and printed her posts, and organized them by week in pocket pages.

I used pocket pages with nine 4x4” pockets, and included a filler card with the date and week number in each spread. Since most weeks only had five or six posts,I made other filler cards using papers, word arts and elements from Amie’s Capture kit. I also used a handful of papers, elements and word arts from the Blackboard and Start kits. Since I wanted the emphasis to be on the images and words my sister chose to document her journey, I intentionally kept the filler pages very simple – a single piece of patterned paper, word art on a white background, or a small element cluster on a white background. I also minimized the number of colors I used –primarily white and black, two shades of pink and two shades of turquoise.

Lastly, because pocket pages always seem to tear, I reinforced the hole punches with strips of washi tape on either side of the page. The washi tape I used for this project is from Ikea.

One of those kids who filled notebook after notebook with stories straight out of her imagination, Carrie started scrapbooking as a way to tell her family's stories with pictures (and journaling, of course).  Living at 6,300 feet above sea level in Colorado, she and her family spend as much time as possible outdoors - hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, camping and skiing, or just reading and enjoying the view.

Kristine Clark │ Documenting Food

I am a travel foodie! My husband and I love to seek out good unique local eats when we travel. Documenting our dining experiences is as fun as documenting our activities. Taking pictures of the food at different angles is a great way to capture the moment.    Let’s Eat Collection by Little Lamm & Co was perfect for food layouts. I put together 2 different layouts from 2 different restaurants we ate at while we were traveling on Oahu in Hawaii.    At Lucky Belly, we tried something from each area of the menu and I got some fun shots of our friend who dramatized waiting while I took pictures of our food. With multiple pictures I wanted to use on my layout, I choose to do a pocket style to capture all of them. For this layout I used a template from Dawn Inskip as I liked the plastic pocket feel.

For my second layout, I had just 2 pictures I wanted to highlight. So for this layout I clustered the photos together with a journal card. I found a great map on the restaurants website showing their locations on the different islands that I blended into the background. The picture templates in Little Lamm & Co “Let’s Eat” collection provided the framing for the pictures I wanted to help them standout on the background.

With Thanksgiving coming up it is a great time to practice capturing your food moments. Will you be making your traditional family recipes for Thanksgiving? Have you documented your Thanksgiving food traditions? Show us your foodie layouts!

Hi, I'm Kristine!  We currently call Rock Springs, WY our home.  I am blessed to be the mother of 4 very active boys each with their own unique and fun personalities that make us laugh and smile every day!  During the day, I am a Professor at a Community College specializing in Exercise Science, Nutrition, Fitness and Wellness.  I also have a Private Practice with my husband who is a Counselor.
I love to be active and enjoy hiking, biking and playing sports.  In my down time, I love to bake cookies and make treats (mostly chocolate and peanut butter related), read books, do puzzles and play games.  I started paper scrapbooking in High School, because I love taking pictures and documenting memories.  Now with a busy schedule, digital scrapbooking is my preferred method of documenting my children and all our adventures!
